Kevin Ceccon is ready for Zolder call
After Misano and Brands Hatch rounds, Kevin Ceccon is ready to contest the third week-end in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup season. This time, the challenge is going to be in the fascinating Zolder track. The young Italian driver, who shares the #74 Audi R8 LMS lined up by the I.S.R. team with German Frank Stippler, is motivated to reach again the top 10 after already doing it in the Qualifying Race on the British soil.
The twisty Belgian track hosted ten editions of the national Formula 1 Grand Prix and represents now a must for GT racing. It’s going be anyway a brand new scenario for Kevin, who never raced here before. By the way, Zolder can potentially suit the characteristics of his car being a mid-engine layout.
The weekend will get off with two free practice sessions on Friday, while on Saturday the qualifying practice is scheduled at 9:15. At 15 o’clock the lights are going out for the Qualifying Race that will assign the first points and it will decide the grid for the Main Race on Sunday. The start of the last heat will be at 15:30.

“Our season is already into the hot stage and I’m very curious to race for the first time in Zolder, a track full of history and very interesting from the driving side. We’ve already showed to have a good potential, even some circumstances prevent us to capitalize it in the way we would have liked. We’ll use the free practice to discover the circuit and to setup the car. We think our Audi can be competitive here. That said, we will give our best for the qualifying and for the races”.
