Kevin Ceccon to attend TCR World Tour in Vallelunga
There is also an Italian driver at the start of the Italian stage of the TCR World Tour. On the weekend from 9th to 11th June Kevin Ceccon will be back on track with Aggressive Team Italia for the third round of the world championship dedicated to touring cars. The 29-year-old from Bergamo had been a protagonist in the 2021 TCR Italy season, winning the title of vice-champion, while in 2022 he took part in six rounds of the Italian series, winning five podiums, as well as taking part with Hyundai Motorsport in the FIA ETCR.
Ceccon’s is therefore a return to the wheel of Aggressive Team Italia’s Hyundai Elantra N TCR, with the Lombard team bringing the only Italian driver entered on the track to the TCR Festival, an Italian appointment organized by ACI Sport and valid for the third stage of the TCR World Tour, after Portimao and Spa-Francorchamps.
Kevin Ceccon: “The goal will be to hunt for the best possible result, even considering that it will be my return to the race after 11 months. In any case, we know Vallelunga and the potential of the Hyundai Elantra very well; moreover, the team is strong, competitive and structured. The opportunities to do well are therefore all there, even if we are aware that it will be a top-level challenge with very competitive opponents. In any case, I am very happy to be able to collaborate again with Aggressive Team Italia and I am sure that we will all work to the best of our ability”.
